Health Calculators

Simple screening tools to help you understand your body measurements and energy needs. They give estimates for general information and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor or registered dietitian.

BMI Calculator

Body mass index with WHO categories and a healthy weight range

Calorie Calculator (TDEE)

Daily calorie needs using Mifflin-St Jeor

Which calculator to use

The BMI calculator divides your weight by your height squared, shows the adult category used by the World Health Organization, and gives the weight range that matches a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 for your height. The calorie calculator estimates your basal metabolic rate with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, multiplies it by an activity factor to estimate the calories you use in a day, and shows example targets for losing, maintaining or gaining weight. Both accept metric or imperial units and are designed for adults.

About these health tools

Every calculator here runs entirely in your browser: the numbers you type are not sent to a server. Each page includes the formula used, a worked example you can reproduce by hand, practical tips and answers to common questions, so you can understand the result rather than only read it.

Results are estimates for general information. Please read the disclaimer, and check important figures with a qualified professional or the official source, such as your lender or doctor.
